ED RUBEN TRIO

The Ed Ruben Trio are a piano based instrumental band hailing from Queensland, Australia. Taking influence from the likes of GoGo Penguin and Thelonious Monk, their sound has been described as ranging from minimalist to experimental with glimpses of improvised mania. The Ed Ruben Trio are Ed Ruben (piano), Mitchell Hagger (drums) and Casey Glennan (upright bass). Their debut EP "Live at The Barn" was written alone in a room, rehearsed in a basement and recorded in a barn.

I have recently shifted my focus to composition for film, television and other media.
In 2021 I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to score two short films alongside other projects.
